Skills Audit & Staff Consultations

"Implementing a large-scale ICT project without the commitment of the people
involved can be about as easy as pushing a pea up a mountain with your nose".

To be effective in your organisation, Information and communication technology (ICT) projects usually change some existing internal processes. This is often threatening for some people who, at least, may be negative and, at worst, may sabotage the operation.

In order to ensure a successful ICT project, it is often necessary to involve staff, trustees, users or other stakeholders in the development process.

In some organisations, particularly smaller one, it may be possible to get everyone in one room to help in the consideration and design of new systems.  In other organisations, particularly the larger ones, it may be not be possible to involve everyone in a face-to-face consultation.

We have a range of face-to-face and online techniques to help you consult everyone.

This process often involves finding out what ICT skills staff already have and what they will need to learn. This Training Needs Analysis then becomes part of the overall specification  of the project and helps meet the concerns of staff who will have operate new processes.

It can often be surprising what talents are hidden within staff and how some staff can be used to help others.
